Lasanta is Gaelic for warmth and passion, a reminder not just of the Spanish provenance of these Oloroso sherry butts, but also a reflection of this expressions lusciously soft texture and deep, enticingly sweet aroma.Non chill-filtered for additional aroma and mouthfeel.
Producer
In 1843, William Matheson founded the Glenmorangie Distillery in the Scottish Highlands. Inspired by the Distillery’s peaceful surroundings on the banks of the Dornoch Firth, he brought forth a pioneering single malt whisky wonderfully complex and exceptionally smooth. Ever since, we have pursued our craft with uncompromising dedication - endlessly creative in our quest for perfection. To this day, we honour the Distillery’s provenance in our award-winning single malt. Its pure, smooth spirit is distilled in Scotland’s tallest stills, matured in the finest casks and perfected by The Men of Tain. And, in the hands of these select craftsmen, the guardians of our spirit, Glenmorangie will surely delight malt whisky lovers for generations to come.

Ultimate Beverage Challenge 93 points - It pours a lovely tone of pink gold in the glass. On the nose, it shows bright notes of sugar and vanilla cake with a delightful note of old paper. On the palate, it’s figgy and spiced with a ginger kick -2019 Ultimate Spirits Challenge (Excellent, Highly Recommended) (Tried & True Award)  (Apr 2019)

Wine Enthusiast 93 points - Aged in Bourbon casks for 10 years, then "extra matured” for two years in Oloroso Sherry casks. The result is luxe and rich, a fine after-dinner sipper. Allow a little time for the aroma to emerge, and a splash of water for maximum flavor. The reward is a thick caramel aroma and flavor, with mouthwatering spicy notes of clove, cassia bark and a hint of orange peel. — K.N. (Dec 2011)
