Blair Athol Distillery stands at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands in the picturesque town of Pitlochry, Perthshire. Set in open moorland south of the town, in the foothills of the Grampian mountains, Blair Athol’s ancient source of water - the Allt Dour - flows through the grounds from the slopes of Ben Vrackie, contributing to the whisky’s, mellow quality and smooth finish. Blair Athol’s ancient source of water is the Allt Dour - in Gaelic “the burn of the otter” - flows through the grounds of the distillery from the slopes of Ben Vrackie in the foothills of the Grampian mountains. It is this constant supply of pure water which attracted John Stewart and Robert Robertson, who founded the distillery on the moorland south of Pitlochry in 1798.

Whiskey Advocate 90 points - This Perthshire single malt was distilled in 1993 and aged in European oak sherry butts. Brittle toffee, black treacle, aniseed, black pepper, and cigar boxes feature on the rich nose. The bold palate yields full, creamy sherry notes, almonds, ginger, old leather, and a slightly savory tang. Long, warming, and peppery in the finish.
